Double down in Beijing

Today Wags' match was at 4:00 so we took the morning to check out some places that were semi close to our hotel. According to my travel book recently purchased at my local Barnes and Noble, there was a beer garden right around the corner from the subway. It was listed as one of the top 5 things to do in the Haidan district. We walked and walked and asked some local students and none of them had any clue where or what a beer garden was. Finally we gave up and headed on to the tennis center. Luckily on our way we found a Starbucks ( it's not a beer garden but it's definately the next best thing) so we stopped for a cold drink and a snack...Oooh I love Starbucks!

David and Nick's doubles match was on center court and televised so we came prepared in red white and blue and ready to yell. The match was a bit nerve racking but USA came away with the win, 6-3 the first set and 6-5 in the second set.

After the match we got to visit with Wags for a bit before he was mobbed by his fans wanting pictures and autographs and that is such a fun thing to watch! USA is going strong and we are headed back to the tennis center tomorrow to watch David play for a chance at the finals....Til then! Love you all!

( HI GRANDMA DOROTHY )

PS. we found out from a fellow American that the Beer garden used to be right around the corner from the subway....years ago. Oh and that is was such and awesome place to go...Yep thanks travel book!

FYI When you guys get back theres some chicken in the fridge and fresh bread. It goes good if you make a sandwich. :)
