Summer Palace

This morning we decided it was a perfect day to go see the Summer Palace before heading to the tennis center.

The Palace is so huge and the detailed woodwork on the top of buildings is beautiful. It was a perfect day sunny and 87 degrees. We walked around and then took the Dragon Ferry across the lake to the Old Summer Palace. After the palace we headed to an Electronic mall for Randy, his camera broke so we wanted to find him another one before David's match. I didn't take any pictures of the place because it was like walking into a shark pool. The place is 14 stories and each floor and they lead you down long corriders to look at and purchase the camera. Needless to say it was a bit frustrating trying to communicate with the saleswomen but in the end Randy came away with a new and very nice camera, though we don't think it was much cheaper than a camera in the states.

Unfortunatley David didn't win his match today and SWE. No thanks to A LOT of bad calls but I guess that is how the game goes sometimes. We are all very excited to watch him play for the Bronze medal tomorrow and for the Gold in doubles. Til tomorrow!!
